SELFLESS
Selflessness is something we can struggle with. However, when teaching students of any age, there must be a constant desire to remove oneself from the equation. The students we work with must feel the dedication and commitment required to see them thrive and succeed. As educators, we can easily build up our students or tear them down by simply giving in to our selfish thoughts, motives, and desires. When we are truly called to be educators and are blessed to have students in our care, we must lay aside any hint of selfishness and be fully present, attending to the needs of each student and being available to support and encourage them along the way. Truly, helping others brings great rewards and an indescribable feeling within ourselves.
